2023 Rising Stars Replaces Green and Duren With Dosunmu and Eason

Injured Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green (left groin strain) will be replaced by Chicago Bulls second-year guard Ayo Dosunmu on Team Deron, and rookie forward Tari Eason from the Rockets will take his place on Team Joakim in place of Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (right ankle sprain).

The annual showcase of premier young talent at NBA All-Star Weekend will be played tomorrow, Feb. 17, at Salt Lake City’s Vivint Arena At nine o’clock in the evening, it will be broadcast live. ET on TNT and ESPN Radio.

This season, Dosunmu has appeared in 56 games and has averaged 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 28.3 minutes. He has scored in double figures 25 times. He took part in the 2022 Rising Stars Game and was selected to the 2021–22 NBA All–Rookie Second Team last season. The No. 1 pick went to Dosunmu, chosen by the Bulls. 38 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Eason has played in 57 games this season and has an average of 8.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 19.4 minutes. He is second among rookies in steals per game (1.1) and ninth in the NBA in steal-to-turnover ratio (1.00). With the No. 1 pick, Eason was chosen by the Rockets. 17 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
