The 2023 Swim England National Summer Meet Date and Location Have Been Announced

The final competitive swimming competitions for Swim England’s 2022–2023 season have been scheduled.

The main event, the National Summer Meet for Swim England, will be held at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge International Pool from August 2–6.

The competition returned in 2022 for the first time since 2019 with more than 1,400 participants from across the nation.

Ahead of the event, details regarding entry requirements, terms, and the final schedule will be made public.

At Ponds Forge in April, the nation’s premier event will also take place.

The selection process for the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka in July will be heavily influenced by the British Swimming Championships, which are scheduled to take place from April 4 to April 9, 2023.

In March 2023, Sheffield will also play host to a World Para-Swimming World Series competition, with the British Para-Swimming Meet scheduled to take place concurrently.

Leading athletes from around the world will compete in para-swimming events from March 16–19 at the Sheffield venue Ponds Forge International Sports Centre.

The competition takes place just a few months before Manchester will play host to the 11th Para Swimming World Championships from July 31 to August 6, 2023.

The World Championships will be held in the UK for the third time, having previously been held in Glasgow (2015) and London (2019).

In Sheffield in 2023, Swim England will also serve as the host of the British Masters Championships.

After missing out on hosting the event in 2020 due to the pandemic, the annual championship will be held at Ponds Forge International Pool for the first time in seven years.

The competition alternates between each of the Home Nations, with Swim England serving as the host nation every two years.

The National Winter Championships and the Open Water events, as well as other events for the end of 2023, will be announced later in the year.
